PGIMER has altogether 58 courses, which conduct postgraduate courses in various disciplines of medicine. The institute has seven departments: Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Human Genetics & Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering. These departments offer degrees in medicine, including M.D., M.S., and Ph.D., as well as M.Ch., D.Litt., D.Sc., DYSM, DYTM, and DYTDM.

The institute also offers a variety of postdoctoral programs in many medical specialities, including nephrology research studies, etc.
